The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama constituency, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, has defended his decision to kneel before the Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi.
The lawmaker took that bold decision for Chairman Wontumi to declare his constituency as one of those areas parliamentary primaries should not be held.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Daniel Okyem Aboagye said there is nothing wrong with his gesture.
“There is a victory in kneeling before Wontumi, people shouldn’t forget that," he said.
“Even President Akufo- Addo was bold enough to beg Ghanaians for votes and won the 2016 election,” he further explained.
