A former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged his party to stop trying to convince the Electoral Commission (EC) to rescind its decision of compiling a new voters' register.
According to him, they (NDC) can go to the moon and back; nothing will change the EC's mind.
Citing the Deputy Chairman of the EC in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey and Director of Electoral Services at the Commission, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe who according to him, are very experienced at their work, he said "they will not give in . . . I’m telling my party, they will not give in . . . no matter what we do, they will compile a new voters' register."

Some political parties including the NDC under the umbrella: Inter-Party resistance against the New voters' register have vowed to resist the EC's decision.
According to the group, they will continue to hold demonstrations countrywide until the EC changes its mind.
The first protest was in Tamale and the second in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.
