The Communication Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Buabeng Asamoah has hit hard at the opposition NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, cautioning him to stop creating fear and panic in the country.
According to him, Mr. Nketia and NDC members are creating a false impression about the Electoral Commission in an attempt to disturb the peace in the country.
Speaking on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" programme, Lawyer Buabeng Asamoah asked the opposition party to go to court if they are not comfortable with the decision of the EC to compile a new voters’ register.
“The constitution allows citizens to demonstrate; so also allows the NDC to go to court if they are not okay with the decision of the EC to compile new voters’ register…I think what they are doing is deliberate just to create fear and panic to sabotage the peace we are enjoying in this country…If they are ready to resolve this matter, it is not on the streets; it is in court,” he added.
