Communication Team Member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Owusu Banahene has alleged Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu is investigating the Airbus bribery scandal because of his 'hatred' for former President John Dramani Mahama.
President Akufo-Addo has referred the Airbus bribery scandal to the Office of the Special Prosecutor for immediate investigations.
A letter signed by Communications Director at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin stated that these investigations are expected to be conducted in collaboration with the United Kingdom authorities.
Reacting to this on UTV, Banahene alleged that the only reason why Akufo-Addo referred the case to Martin Amidu was not because of his competence but "because of how he demonstrated hatred against Mahama".
