General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] has accused Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of always making things up to ‘confuse’ Ghanaians.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia claims the Second Gentleman of the land behavorial conduct depicts that of a “retired magician” – adding that, “he jokes a lot”.
“He doesn’t bring out facts when addressing issues. What he does is concert and his irritating laughter. He behaves like a magician leaving his audiences confused . . . even today magicians have stopped working,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
Dr Bawumia, at the Town Hall Meeting in Kumasi Tuesday, said the NDC should provide facts that are veriable to challenge his claims.
In his presentation, the Vice President also pointed out that any professional or economist who does not put what he learnt from textbooks into practice is likely to "end up mismanaging the economy with Akonfem Economic Management Techniques, with disastrous results."
He challenged the NDC to present a contrary set of data to contest all what he had put out and not resort to "insults or running away to Burkina Faso".
Discussing the NPP’s Town Hall meeting and Results Fair in Kumasi, General Mosquito said most of the results claimed to have achieved by the NPP are questionable.
“He thinks he has gotten some Ghanaians who are toys . . . ,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.

General mosquito, look at yourself, your personality is like conc3rt party j0ker
So NDC did not learn any sense from their mistakes in 2016? Bawumia speaks and instead of giving alternates, they rather rain insults on his personality. Listen to Asiedu Nketia on what Bawumia presented during the Town Hall meeting. You insulted Nana Addo from left to right in 2016 and he won the election with a wide margin and still you are repeating same. Do we have any alternate to NPP at all?
NDC has no other choice but to walk out. The reason for the walk out is that they have more serious problems to resolve. Any issue on elections is meaningless without resolving their problems.Their serious problems include: 1. Presidential Candidate. With the pending Airbus International Scandal, NDC is uncertain about the fate of their candidate Mahama. Many NDC are in the media doing damaged control and fighting hard to distort the identity and the actual crime committed by the Ghanaian officials likely to include Mahama but deep in the hearts of many NDC Mahama cannot be exonerated. They very worried about Mahama candidacy which they think must be addressed immediately in order to reorganize themselves for 2020 elections. 2. Running Mate: While Pro=Mahama group in NDC are pushing that he selects his running mate soon before anything happens, anti-Mahama group think that it would be improper for Mahama to do that with his impending issues. The latter consider that as hijacking NDC by Mahama. 3. Implicated Individuals. There are some who are also worried by the others in NDC who would be implicated in current and unfolding corruption cases. Now there are some NDC warming themselves to replace Mahama. There are also some anti Mahamas pretending to sympathize with Mahama to win his support in the event that he cannot contest. NDC has now a very serious issue to address that to worried about electoral procedures. They are torn between abandoning Mahama now for the good of the party or pledging loyalty to defend Mahama at all cost at the peril of the party. Interesting days ahead.
It is really a pity how the opposition party, NDC is helpless when it comes to speaking substantively to subjective issues bothering on the economy. The General Secretay Asiedu Nkatias' utterances remind me of how veranda boys were mobilized into politics by applying violence against their political opponents instead of arguing factually to convince the electorates that they present a better alternative to governance. Indeed, NDC makes opposition politicking very diabolic, dirty, primitive and unpatriotic. The core problem of the NDC is the lack of competence, and to cover up this deficit they turn desperately to overplay it with comics and political satire. Clearly, to reduce the submission of the Vice President to act of a magician is sheer lack of intellect to appreciate and make sense of it.
RE-ENACTMENT OF 2016, WHEN THEN CANDIDATE BAWUMIA MADE EXCELLENT PRESENTATIONS. THEY NEVER ATTACKED HIS DELIVERIES BUT HIS PERSONALITY. LET SOMEONE FROM NDC MATCH BAWUMIA BOOT FOR BOOT AND STOP THE INSULTS.
Bawumia is a theoriticar. I suppose he is not leaving in Ghana. His presentation does not reflect the reality with the present day Ghanaian life style. In ghana today, only few are benefiting, the rich is growing richer, politician are amassing wealth and the poor man and woman of the street is exploited for their own selfish needs. Please, Bawumia, come down to the level of ghanaians, go to the markets and discover the huge rubish in Accra, Kumasi Tamale and Cape Coast. But at the end of the day, let gahanians give you a score mark.
@JOMOJACKSON indeed, i don't trust the figures from our agencies because they are all cooked according to the poitical party in power and the one which can pay more. No serious consultant or investor in Ghana and abroad use figures from these agencies. Simple Rosewood exports were not accounted for well. We had to fall on the Chinese to giive use the correct figures. Ask GNPC how many barrels of oil is lifed per quarter and they cannot gve you an accurate figure. Precious Minerals, the worse culprits. Bank of Ghana figures most of the time has not got any relations with the figures from the Finance Ministry, Audtor General and Accountant General. I believe the Statistical Service should be shut down. It is just another political agency where a new presdent quickly changes the head for obvious reasons. We better contnue usiing accurate stata from the US Info Centre, IMF, World Bank, Statista and like credible sources.
Figures are what the USA, Canada, China, Japan, Malaysia etc. used to get to where they are and not money in people's pocket. Even the NDC uses figures though not favorable when in power. As usual the NDC has started the name calling as Bawumia predicted.
Asiedu Nketa should address the issues. t is easy to punch holes in the submiission of Dr Bawumiah and the best thing for them to do is to have someone lke Adongo to come and point to some of these issues. One example is the artifcially stable pound against the cedi. This is a relatvely quiet time on the demand of FX so it iis not as f the government has waved a magic wand for the cedi to be seemingly stable. There s also some fnancial faciliities that have hit the economy from the Exim bank or so and it is showng some artifcial stability in value. These are issues that need to be debated as a country but ant party in opposition is unable to tackle it because when they get to power, they do the same thing if not worse.
Please please so within the NDC party cant u find someone to respond to the issues other than this man? And yesterday Jinapor tried to do some work his PowerPoint was so clumsy and busy no wonder JDM was dozing off.
