Tension is slowly building up in Tarkwa-Nsuaem constituency in the Western Region ahead of the December 7, Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
The Regional Police Command has been petitioned to hunt for the miscreants who defaced campaign billboards of an independent Parliamentary Candidate for the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency.
Billboards of Miss Joy Joycelyn were targeted after alleged supporters of the incumbent New Patriotic Party lawmaker, George Mireku Duker, went on a rampage Tuesday.
But George Mireku Duker has strongly denied any association with the vandals who defaced the billboards of his opponent.
He showed Peacefmonline.com a pictorial evidence of his billboards also defaced by some unknown people purported to be supporters of Miss Joy Joycelyn.
He described the developing issue as “unfortunate” and called for calm in the constituency ahead of the December polls.
