PNC General Secretary, Atik Mohammed has disclosed the party's National Congress will come off on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
The Congress will see the party delegates electing new executives and most importantly their Presidential candidate for the 2020 elections.
Atik Mohammed made this revelation while speaking on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'' on Thursday, August 27.
According to him, although the Congress has been delayed due to the impact of the COVID-19, it is ''better late than never''.
2020 Elections
Several political parties will be contesting the Presidential and Parliamentary elections, come December 7.
The parties include the Convention People's Party (CPP) led by Mr. Ivor Greenstreet, Ghana Union Movement (GUM) led by Christian Kwabena Andrews aka Osofo Kyiri Abosom, the People's National Convention and the two largest parties, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) among others.
It is believed that the main contest will be between the NPP and NDC where, for the first time in Ghana's political history, a sitting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be challenged by a former President John Dramani Mahama.
