Prospective candidates who intend to contest for the flagbearership position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2024 have been asked to have a rethink.
Lawyer Stephen Kingsley Bennieh, a member of the Communication team of the NDC contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's the Platform programme said it will be a 'waste of time' for anyone to contest since former President John Mahama is the only one who will lead the party in 2024.
"If Mahama decides to contest again in 2024, anybody who comes will be wasting their time; he's not going to go unopposed but if you pick a form you will be worrying yourself..." he pointed out.

Another very important area draining and sapping the energy of the country is corruption by politicians and civil servants at our ministries with regards to foreign investors who are subjected to bribery in order to obtain the necessary permits to invest in various projects , more than 70% of prospective investors normally abandons their ventures and return to their countries because they failed to pay bribes therefore refused permits to invest , those who bribes set up businesses and exploit the ordinary Ghanaian they employed. Government must set up a one stop powerful department to assist investors to obtain their permit to avoid unnecessary bureaucracy and bribery visited upon them by corrupt officials to encourage more investment into the country
