The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the "current leadership of the Electoral Commission (EC), lacks the integrity, credibility, and impartiality” to spearhead any review process of the 2020 General Elections.
This is so because, the NDC claims, the EC “supervised the manipulation” of last year’s polls in favor of the New Patriotic Party, hence, cannot "lead any discussions on the very elections they rigged".
The largest opposition party made this declaration after it declined an invitation by the EC to attend an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to review the 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections.
The function was scheduled for today, Wednesday 21st April, 2020.
A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, explained that the party took the decision "because of the lack of candor, odious duplicity, and open bias that was displayed by the Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission in favor of the New Patriotic Party" in the conduct of the 2020 general elections.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wednesday 21st April, 2021
NDC BOYCOTTS IPAC MEETING ON THE REVIEW OF THE 2020 GENERAL ELECTIONS.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), declined an invitation by the Electoral Commission of Ghana to attend an IPAC meeting to review the 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential Elections which was scheduled for today, Wednesday 21st April, 2020.
The party took this decision because of the lack of candor, odious duplicity, and open bias that was displayed by the Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission in favor of the New Patriotic Party in the conduct of the 2020 general elections.
It is the considered view of the NDC, that the current leadership of the Electoral Commission who supervised the manipulation of the 2020 general elections and the stolen verdict that resulted from same, lack the integrity, credibility, and impartiality to lead any such discussions or review of the very elections they rigged.
The NDC has thoroughly examined the dubious role the Jean Mensah-led Electoral Commission played in the rigging of the 2020 general Elections. Moving forward, the party shall review its working relationship with the electoral management body and take appropriate steps to forestall the rigging of any future Elections in the country.
Signed.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah
General Secretary

Ahhhh, NDC! What did you go to court to proof against the EC? You just DECEIVING your naive followers!
I believe strongly the same person wrote all the comments above. What a country!!!!!!
Good name is better than riches, Mr Asiiedu Nketiah thinks he is above the laws of Ghana therefore he can say anything he deem to say without the recourse of it implications. NDC presented same characters in 2020 elections and failed willfully. Even during their election petition Ghanaians witnesses their lies and deceit even in the court so if today same characters have started their incompetence towards the EC .trust me they will fall again this with a wider margin. NDC cares to know that the current electoral register does not favor them in winning any election Ghana becuase two winning two Regions can will an election in Ghana.
So with the credibility of the EC in question now, would the NDC be part of the 2024 elections? Because unless something happens, these would be the same people in charge of the 2024 elections. And by the NDC's own theory, they would have gained more experience in rigging. Such shallow thinking by the NDC.
Are Ghanaians taking note of NDC attitude towards the EC and its Leadership? we have just begun the 2021 electoral calendar and listen to what NDC has started.
We just can't look on and see them run the hardworking EC-boss down. Indeed, Mrs. Jean Mensa who I affectionately call Miss. Jean is doing a brilliant Job, and she should be accorded the due respect to continue her mandate. We have had enough of the '***barred word*** bi nti logic'!
I will appeal, all Ghanaians stand- up against the NDC for unwarrantedly running the EC down. Then, NDC had his day in the Supreme Court of Ghana to prove all the allegations of fraud and vote rigging in 2020-election, and we witnessed how they messed up in court. They even had the services of the prowess of their astute lawyer in the person of the whole Tsikata, and yet they failed miserably. NDC should give us a break and stop belittling our intelligence. For, Ghanaians are aware how dishonest the cohorts of your leadership are.
Eiiii so NDC has started this tactics again, this same EC will supervise next 4 years election so are they going to participate.mm..let's wait and see
FOR CHRIST SAKE. NPP SHOULD NOT KEEP THEIR ‘***barred word***’ MOUTH SHUT AND ALLOW NDC TO RUN EC DOWN. NDC IS ACCUSING YOU OF BEEN BENEFICIARY OF THE 2020 ELECTIONS. WHY ARE YOU NOT SPEAKING UP. WHAT IS WRONG WITH NPP COMMUNICATORS. ( I DON’T BELIEVE IF YOU HAVE ANY YOU ARE TOO DULL. WAKE UP AND SPEAK UP
Look at them. If you don't attend meetings how can you appreciate issues raised. You did the same thing before the election and you ended up complaining bitterly after the elections. You think boycotting EC meetings will make mahama president
