Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan ,first majority chief Whip and a member of the Mines and Energy of Parliament has lauded the CSR activities of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited under Dr. Ben Asante as the Chief Executive officer.
The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon made this declaration when the Leadership of Parliament paid a working visit to the Gas Processing Plant of Ghana Gas at Atuabo in the Western Region.
Lydia stated that she was much impressed with the sports,health, educational and environmental activities that has been over the years been achieved by the Gas company through their social responsibilities.
Ghana Gas has over the years embarked on CSR activities such as astro tauf initiatives for districts within the country,National Health Insurance Registration for the community within the Elembele district of the western Region, scholarship support scheme,gas challenge and the development of hockey facilities at the University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast ,Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and towards the Ghana National Hockey team as well among many others.
She further encouraged the gas company to continue to impact lives of Ghanaians
