Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has thrown a jab at President Akufo-Addo for his unsavoury comment to the Chief of Aflao, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V for asking his government to complete the abandoned E-Block Community Day Senior High School in his area.
Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V, the Aflao Chief made this demand among others during a tour of the Volta Region by the Minority members on Parliament's Education Committee.
According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr. the President 'didn't speak well at all'.
"However you will look at it, what the President said about the Aflao Chief was not good, no matter how it was not good, whether he was playing or laughing it didn't go well, we shouldn't speak like that to ourselves, he didn't speak well . . . Torgbui Fiti is a prominent Chief just like all other Chiefs, we don't speak to him like that, the President didn't speak well," Kwesi Pratt said on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' programme. Friday.
Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi during a panel discussion on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' programme, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. further expounded that there is nowhere the Aflao Chief gave an ultimatum to the government to complete the E-Block in his area.
To Kwesi Pratt the Aflao Chief only asked Parliament's Education Committee to try and open the school in his area by February so his citizens will also enjoy the Free Senior High School education policy being enjoyed by all eligible citizens in the country.
"Is this an ultimatum? . . . Did he say if it is not opened he will pull a gun or slap someone? He didn't say that . . . he was only pleading for the school to be opened for him, what crime has he committed?" Kwesi Pratt asked.
Akufo-Addo tells Aflao Chief to construct the abandoned E-Block himself . . .
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has thrown a subtle jibe at the Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area regarding an abandoned E-block Community Day Senior High School in his area.
The Chief, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V issued a four-month ultimatum to the government to complete the abandoned school which was built under the regime of Ex-President John Mahama.
Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V made this demand among others during a tour of the Volta Region by Minority members on Parliament's Education Committee.
Reacting to the Chief's request, President Nana Akufo-Addo assured his government will continue the projects started by the former President.
However, the President didn't take it lightly that the Chief would issue an ultimatum to the government, so humorously replied that the Chief should ''complete the project himself'' if he is feels frustrated.
''Is he the one going to give the Minister of Education ultimatum?'', he questioned.
He added; ''For some of the projects, definitely, we will ready ourselves and complete them.''

WHAT'S ALL THIS?
Please Mr. President, Do not mind that hypocrite called Kwesi Pratt
It's not the first time local leaders give an ultimatum to a political leaders when it's with development to their area. I have also heard of this before, " by next year I want our roads to be done". The question is, Is it not an ultimatum, so the way our President respond to it tells me the type of President we have. Good dey.
Our traditions present our cultural values, such as the values we place on electing the spokespersons for our Chiefs. In twi, they call them Okyeame, and they possess a high proficiency in the twi language- as an utmost criterion for selecting a linguist for the chiefs. And you would agree with me when I say they adhere to diplomacy and etiquette such that they don't even give a suspicious look to all that may have the earmarks of being big lies. The constitution of Ghana seeks to protect the loyalty and respect of our chiefs when it stipulates that, Chiefs should resign if they want to engage in active partisan politics. That notwithstanding, they could avoid partisan political polemics, speak to issues decorously and desperately as chiefs of the people of diverse political affiliations. The times and locations for such political statements be measured to avoid intensifying a hitherto politically polarized atmosphere.
Thank you Kwasi Prat for standing for the truth
Does the chief has the right to give the President an utimatum? They can demonstrate to the moon and continue to the sea who cares. If not politics how many votes come from there? As for Kwasi Pratt, the biggest hypocrite in Ghana.
KWESI PRATT WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. U SEE WHAT EVER NANA ADDO SAYS AS BAD BUT WHAT EVER MAHAMA SAY AS IDIOMATIC EXPRESSION. MAHAMA SAID IT TO AKYEMS AS MAFIA, U SEE IT AS NORMAL SAID IT TO ASHANTI AND U AND YOUR ABLAKWA SEE NOTHIG BAD BUT IS NANA ADDO SO IS NOT GOOD. DID THE CHIEF HAS THE RIGHT TO GIVE PRESIDENT THE ULTIMATUM
For people who do not know wrong from right, no argument must be raised against them but rather call on them to have a conscience bath. When the President went wrong with the harbour issue at Cape Coast, he apologized. It's so statemanly. What corrupts great leaders are people who don't see anything wrong with what has gone wrong. Speeches divide or unite. We need a common front now more than ever. Ghana has exited mediocre leadership and latecomers into such an era are not aware at all. Get out of your darkness and step into the light. Tell the truth to leadership and let's make a great nation not wrought great damage to the Motherland!
Kwas Pratt Hypocrisy and dishonesty. What comments did you give when Ashanti Region NDC secretary verbally Insulted Okyehene. Be objective and principled
I think Kwesi is not being a good statesman just twisting facts on the issue to make Nana Addo more less popular among voltarians
