If there are wise men around the President, then they must do the needful as soon as possible because as a country we can't afford to throw away our values and culture." he posted on his facebook wall Monday morrning.
Akufo-Addo tells Aflao Chief to construct the abandoned E-Block himself . . .
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has thrown a subtle jibe at the Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area regarding an abandoned E-block Community Day Senior High School in his area.
The Chief, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V issued a four-month ultimatum to the government to complete the abandoned school which was built under the regime of Ex-President John Mahama.
Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V made this demand among others during a tour of the Volta Region by Minority members on Parliament's Education Committee.
Reacting to the Chief's request, President Nana Akufo-Addo assured his government will continue the projects started by the former President.
However, the President didn't take it lightly that the Chief would issue an ultimatum to the government, so humorously replied that the Chief should ''complete the project himself'' if he is feels frustrated.
''Is he the one going to give the Minister of Education ultimatum?'', he questioned.
He added; ''For some of the projects, definitely, we will ready ourselves and complete them.''

Our traditions present our cultural values, such as the values we place on electing the spokespersons for our Chiefs. In twi, they call them Okyeame, and they possess a high proficiency in the twi language- as an utmost criterion for selecting a linguist for the chiefs. And you would agree with me when I say they adhere to diplomacy and etiquette such that they don't even give a suspicious look to all that may have the earmarks of being big lies. Let alone use offensive language to address his subjects before him. The constitution of Ghana seeks to protect the loyalty and respect of our chiefs when it stipulates that, Chiefs should resign if they want to engage in active partisan politics. They could avoid partisan political polemics, mindful that their subjects have diverse political affiliations. The times and locations for such political statements be measured not to intensify a hitherto politically polarized atmosphere. It is instructive for His Loyalty to note that disrespectful demeanor begets more rudeness.
If the Aflao has made up his mind to indulge in politics, he will get political answer, He deserves more than this answer.
If for 30yrs, Voltarians and Ketu North, keep voting massively for just one party, and fail to hold them accountable, why wont we have these non Ewe persons pretentiously speaking for Ewes always. Surprisingly Ghanaians, since1992 upto now, Togbe Fiti and Aflao, cannot boast of a community shs, after 30yrs of massive upport for Ndc, yet, we Voltarians keep mute over this political abomination, so Sami Gyemfi, Biney, Asiedu Nketia, Mahama and others, (after sacking Ewes from JJ's Ndc party leadership positions) can creat disaffection and knock our heads together. It is Akuffo Addo, or the Ndc, Mahama, Fifi Kwetey and Dzifa Gomashie that must that must apologize to Torgbe Foti, Ketu North and Voltarians?
Oh why?
***barred word***. why does NDC always have to politicize anything to do with Volta region? It is time to rethink and act properly devoid of politics.
