National Women Organizer aspirant of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfua has made a solemn call on the party to recognize the good works of the members who have contributed immensely to the party's fortunes.
Speaking in an interview with host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Kate Gyamfua bemoaned the treatment meted out to some key people in the party after they have played an instrumental role in the successes of the NPP.
According to her, this "wickedness" must stop and those people should be appreciated as she believed bringing all those people on board as the party gears up for the next elections will help the NPP to break their eight.
"A lot of people are crying because they helped us but we haven't appreciated them", she stated and appealed for the leadership to change their behavior stressing "we have to change our attitude and the wickedness and stop betraying those who have helped us. Those who have helped NPP with their resources but we haven't recognized them".

Madam, don't worry. The next people to cry are those wicked, selfish, inward looking, greedy and ungrateful appointees. Their cry will be worse. It's only a matter of time. ill gotten wealth cannot last, from the beginning you will think you have now stolen enough to sustain you and your family. You have the opportunity to use your position to steal, the power for the stolen loot to sustain you lies with God not you. People leave their farms, shops, schools, hospitals, offices markets to go and queue for long hours to vote thinking you will come and improve their socio economic wellbeing only for you to come with your appointees to loot what belongs to the people, you think God will let you free? What so called Ghanaian politicians don't know is that if anybody queues to vote and later on regret for voting for you, if that voter curses you, bet me, the curse will hold, if you are lucky to die early, your children will suffer for it. The more you loot, the more curses you heap on your children, we have come to realize that Ghanaian politicians are not there for the people but for themselves. They don't represent any body, they represent themselves, Nyame ber twea mu ka.
Oh, they should stop crying, we beg. Majority of the NPP supporters thought the akuffo Addo NPP will be like the kufour one so they made a lot of sacrifices only to be crying. In 2016 the NPP did not buy campaign vehicles. It was some party youth who volunteered their own vehicles, bought fuel and drove to meet akuffo Addo and his entourage anytime they were in the regions to campaign, so also assisted financially how ever little. Today such people have been neglected and forgotten. Those who thought they were lucky to have been given projects like toilets/water under the one constituency one million dollars have not been paid after completing those projects with their own resources, as for those who got roads projects they have disappeared from the public because they owe banks and artisans. Some said it would have been better if they were not given those projects,at least they had their peace, today they are worse off. So to say NPP members are crying is an understatement. They are confused, dejected. Under kufour we saw a vibrant NPP for 8 years culminating in akuffo Addo leading with 49% in the 2008 elections in the first round meaning the NPP was still the popular choice of Ghanaians thanks to kufour and his appointees who never forgot for once that it's was the NPP supporters who made it possible. They carried the NPP and it's teeming supporters along. Today's appointees can be likened to the vulture, it only knows the importance of a nest when beaten by rain, immediately the rain stops it goes to sleep saying when will it ever rain again . 2024 will come and it will come, i doubt whether these orphan NPP supporters will make sacrifices again. NPP supporters are not laughing, NDC supporters are not laughing, for the NDC they can console themselves by saying their father is not in a kitchen, those whose father is in the kitchen but can only cook for himself alone are those crying, sad though. We sacrificed to make akuffo Addo president only for him to come and make Mahama even more popular than before.
Kate@ how do you expect the government to cater for the foot soldiers? Where do you expect the party to get money to be given to those who are crying. I believe this whole thing of people working for the party should stop. What did they do differently to warrant special treatment. You are looking for a position to enrich yourself so you are just courting the sympathy of foot soldiers. Workers salaries are becoming a headache for the government and you are crying for foot soldiers who don’t want to work but want free money. NPP is not a revenue generating entity so party functionaries must stop giving false hope to foot soldiers.
