James Kwabena Bomfeh, Managing Editor of the National Forum newspaper, has registered his utter displeasure at the behavior of some patrons at the just-ended Global Citizen Festival towards President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the night of the event.
The Global Citizen Festival was held at the Black Star Square over the weekend and saw electrifying performances from musicians; Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, among others with American music superstar Usher Raymond headlining the concert.
During the event, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appeared on the stage but was booed by the patrons while delivering his speech.
The attendees could be heard shouting 'away, away' while the President was speechifying on the occasion.
Speaking on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo", Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called 'Kabila', was disgusted that the patrons would treat the First Gentleman in the country in such manner.
He touted the President as doing things that inspire the world and making Ghana a center of attraction, hence didn't deserve to be booed off stage.
"Our President is inspiring hope at every time of his speech that we are not desperately helplessly hopeless. There is hope. Just as oxygen is to the lung and to life, so is hope to the life of a nation," he said and pitied the President saying, "I don't think the President sleeps well".
"It's not good. We must condemn it outright. That was disgraceful", Kabila reprimanded the patrons.

The NDC's militant machinery of propaganda and lies will not wash. I can see breaking the 8 coming closer. I pray Ghanaians stay away from the negative NDC politicians. They have a problem for every solution and have no solution to any problem.
Look at this ***barred word*** journalist. AND THE ***barred word*** YOUTH WERE NOT ALSO LISTENING What did the president said that you think deserved booing. The president was just urging the youth to work hard because the world need their TALENT AND CREATIVITY and so if they work hard it does not matter which part of the world they are residing the world will come for them. And ended by saying the whole word has come to GAHANA.
Well said , it's unacceptable to hoot at an elderly person in the Ghanaian culture, forget about he being the president. However if you blame a mouse for coming to steal your fish, also blame the fish for smelling too much. If there is one person Ghanaians had a lot of hope and confidence in to change the fortunes of this country, it was Akuffo Addo. Unfortunately he seems to have guard, he doesn't even seem to know what's happening around him not to talk of the country. His ministers, MMDCEs and CEO's are behaving as if they appointed themselves. People in positions of trust are ***barred word*** openly without looking at their back to see if someone is coming. Any president who is on top of issues must know what is currently trending in his country and in granting interviews to the media should expect questions on same and thus have enough information on trending issues in the country. For Akuffo Addo to say he doesn't know whether Aisha Huang was deported or she sneaked out of Ghana means he was not following current events, meanwhile you are the very person who put your presidency on the line to stop the galamsey menace and yet you don't know the trending issue in Ghana today is galamsey. People ask themselves whether the Akuffo Addo they know and heard of is same person governing the country. Everybody is complaining about his appointees including his own party people and yet it's only the president who is scoring them 100% . Any leader who doesn't have his ears on the ground ends up leading nobody. Behind the scenes you get a feeling that Ghanaians are not happy with their president at all, people are eager to see him go. The action of the youth though condemnable is also a wake up call to the president to sit up. Currently he is too loose, just too loose. Nobody fears him, not even his appointees. Dogs don't kick, they bite. Unfortunately our president is kicking, he should bite. Our trust and confidence level in him is almost near ZERO.
