NDC Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said he is ever ready to be a political prisoner of conscience than to be coerced and compromised into a behind the scenes deal with the corrosive enemies of the Republic.
"Let the cowardly forces of tyranny be told that I am not one to be frightened with imprisonment," he said.
According to him a country where parliamentarians carrying out their constitutional oversight mandate become victims of state sponsored harassment, strange court injunctions and judicial threats of imprisonment even as double identity charlatans are protected and pampered is definitely a nation in the dark abyss.
"I wish to express heartfelt appreciation and profound gratitude for the overwhelming solidarity and words of encouragement I have received since the series of cathedral exposes in the pursuit of his constitutional mandate of oversight, and in the face of the current facist machinations to use the judiciary and other state institutions to silence and intimidate me," he posted on twitter Thursday morning.

North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa kicked away a writ filed against him by the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral, Rev Victor Kusi-Boateng.

The NDC, as an opposition party, deceitfully relies on vile propaganda to win votes. It sadly underestimates the intelligence of Ghanaians to buy into its falsehood, always portraying the government in bad faith for political points. It's all about presidential jets today and the National Cathedral tomorrow, but incompetently silent on policies that can positively impact the lives of citizens. Forgetting that the vile propaganda they make exposes them as having no scruples about stealing when they assume political power, the Ablakwa should squarly be jailed if he faults the laws in his diabolical interest.
Facebook MP be that. Always using “big words “. Can you be a political prisoner? You will not get access to internet and Facebook in jail oo.
You will become a lawless law maker prisoner not a 'political prisoner'. It's the same law which is protecting you in doing what you are doing so you cannot eat your cake and have it at the same time.
