Former Food and Agriculture Minister, Dr. Afriyie Owusu Akoto has said he feels a sense of Commitment to leading the party in the upcoming flagbeaerer race.
" . . I was born into the Party when my father in the 1950s formed the first political party in the Ashanti Region . . . for me the party is my family so when things are not going well I have to do something about it," he told Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview.
In response to him having a sense of entitlement to lead the NPP because his father, Baffour Owusu Akoto formed the first political party in the region, he said, "it is a sense of commitment not entitlement".
