Former Minister of Works & Housing and Member of Parliament Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea, has said the comments from Hon. Bryan Acheampong have been taken out of the context for political expediency.
Speaking on Joy News, the seasoned lawyer said, “I was on the stage; actually, there was nothing fury about it. It's like the saying, ‘I will beat you to a pulp’.
He expressed surprise at the overreaction of the NDC and said they should be mindful not to heighten the tension in the country.
Mr Acheampong addressing party supporters at Mpraeso on Saturday, said the ruling New Patriotic Party will never hand over power to the opposition NDC in 2025. He assured the Party faithful that they have the men to turn round the economy, a message that has been twisted to achieve political gains.
