Bernard Allotey Jacobs has hailed the disqualified Member of Parliament for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson, whose disqualification has called for a by-election to be held in the Assin North constituency.
Mr. James Gyakye Quayson's legitimacy to hold himself as a Parliamentarian was overturned by a Supreme Court on grounds that he held dual citizenship at the time he was elected as MP.
Despite his debarment, the National Democratic Congress says it will still present Mr. Gyakye Quayson to contest the by-election.
Touching on the matter, Allotey Jacobs touted the embattled NDC MP as a "good man", hence finding it difficult to grasp why he would allow himself to be in such a trouble.
To him, Mr. Gyakye Quayson brought this on himself, however "he is a good man. In spite of everything, he is a good man but the law is the law"
