Kwami Sefa Kayi, affectionately called 'Chairman General', has responded to the rumormongers spreading what he believes is false information about Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is vying for the position of flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP).
The astute broadcaster on his 'Kokrokoo' morning show on Peace FM today took notice of a rumor that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's campaign is being sponsored by some Islamic fundamentalists in Nigeria.
A post by one David Humdeyin, purportedly a Journalist in Nigeria, read that the Bawumia Campaign is being funded by some Islamic group in Nigeria called the ACF.
This hearsay is gradually and potentially gaining attention but Chairman General has taken it with a pinch of salt.
He called it a "silly season" for those peddling this Islamic fundamentalist agenda targeted at the Vice President.
"Thankfully, to the glory of God, I have worked as a practicing Journalist for well over 25 years. Sometimes, we know it is silly season, juju and tricks," he commented, adding "when you ask those making the allegations to provide evidence," it turns into stories.

Hhmnnn, am beginning to pity my elder brother Bawumia. The young man every NPP person was chanting Hosanna, Hossana, Hossana in 2016, the darling boy of the NPP. Today some people who should know better are those saying crucify him, crucify him. Am not surprised at all at what's happening to my big brother Bawumia, once you have the ball with you, they will tackle you. As to why all the other 9 contenders are firing shots in the direction of Bawumia is enough indication that the ball is with him. In 2016 it was the same Islamic group in Nigeria that funded him to hold all those lectures culminating in the NPP's victory in the 2016 elections which made some of them ministers for close to 7 years running/ multi-million- dollar contracts for others. In 2016 it was the same Islamic fundamentalist in Nigeria called ACF who gave millions of dollars to Akuffo Addo to make Bawumia his running mate. Indeed it was same Islamic fundamentalist group called ACF who sponsored Bawumia to pursue further studies outside up to the phd level in anticipation that he will one day become the president of Ghana. Dogs don't kick, they bite.
I predicted, and anticpate more of this to even come...it's normal with dirty African politics...Bawumia must be calm and focus...he who JAH blesses will never fail.May God help him lead Ghana.
They keep throwing mud upon mud on a clean personality just to swell his chances. But the more desperate they become at this false claims ad insults, the more stronger the DMB "It is possible" Agenda becomes. God Knows Best.
