Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, has been arrested by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
This was confirmed in a statement signed by the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng dated July 24, 2023.
This follows a court case in which two house helps and others are standing trial for allegedly stealing $1 million, €300,000 and millions of cedis from her Ablekuma residence.
Two of her house helps, Patience Botwe (18) and Sarah Agyei (30), were previously charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and five counts of stealing, following the alleged incidents between July and October 2022.
During this period, items including assorted clothes worth GHC95,000, handbags, perfumes, and jewelry valued at $95,000 were said to have been stolen from the former Minister's residence in the Abelemkpe area of Accra. Patience Botwe was also accused of stealing six sets of kente cloth worth GHC90,000 and six sets of men's suits valued at $3,000, which belonged to Ms. Dapaah's husband. Furthermore, three other individuals, including Botwe's current and former boyfriends and her father, are also facing charges for allegedly being involved in dishonestly receiving GHC1 million, GHC180,000, and GHC50,000, respectively.

WHO WILL SAVE GHANA ?Who will put the standards in place ? I think we should not blame her too much it was part of her share . The people of this current leadership are smart and very wise and able to throw dust into the eyes of the citizens. It seems they packing or hiding some money . From PDS ,they tried Agyapa but the minority were fast but they are on tor rent company . They want to use the tanks of TOR for their work .They have thrown away many good investors who were ready to partner TOR .They also went to take over ECG prepaid sales .It seems that this gov is applying Hitler method where you are made to go hungry ,poor so you take whatever they give you.
$300,000 that was supposed to given to a Ghanaian by a foreigner was not given because the Ghanaian was not a party faithful. The government opposed a move to give a community $2 million dollars because the community was not the traditional capital. Believe me! Ghana loses $30 billion dollars because of physical and spiritual arrangements such as this one. It is not only the government that can bring foreign exchange into the country. Individuals through their ingenuity can bring billions into the country.
My last month paycheck was for 11000 dollars… All i did was simple online work from comfort at home for 3-4 hours/day that I got from this agency I discovered over the internet and they paid me for it 95 bucks every hour…..> .info on web . . ——> pay.salary49.com
Ceci paaaaaa dea. So nothing occurred to you that if this case went public it will cause a national uproar? To make matters worse your husband too was not smart enough to say please hold on, and followed you jam jam jam to the police to report. Just travel to the countryside especially northern parts of Ghana where i schooled. You will see rural women carrying firewood/charcoal with their babies on their back walking several kilomatres barefooted to the nearest urban centre just to make GHC 5 to buy salt, fish (keta school boys) and maggi cube just to get something on the table for her children. These are the people who abandon their farms on election day to go and queue for elect people thinking they will come and work in their interest only for them to come in to represent themselves. Listen to PETER OBI, a Nigerian businessman. He says " No country can progress when its POLITICS is more profitable than its INDUSTRIES. In a country where those in government are richer than entrepreneurs, they manufacture poverty. No wonder poverty has become widespread in Ghana. A politician who was barely known 6 years ago on becoming a mister within a matter of 72 months can harvest dollars, euro and Ghana cedis, park it in her wardrobe,( we are not told the house help broke any suit case, safe or trunk in the bedroom) her house help goes into fetch as much as 1 million dollars, 300,000 euros, as for the Ghana cedi, butuuuuu ( uncountable) and her mistress couldn't even detect it because the money is/was chaaawww/piiiiii/ bareketeeye until her husband caught the house help fiiili fiili in their bedroom. No wonder you see them looking wretched when they lose power, those that are not looking wretched however neat and presentable they look any keen observer will notice that their conscience is hunting them, you can see it from their looks. We are waiting to see how she will justify genuine ownership of this money. The so called politicians soon forget that they lived with people in the community so people know them from childhood, your father, your mother, people know them, the work they were doing, the house they were living in, the food they were eating, the bicycle, moterbike or car i e if they had any. In school, you had classmates who know you, they know you paaaaa. After school people at where you used to work know you, they know you paaaaa. So, you can't jump into politics and now harvest dollars, euros and uncountable cedis and now want to justify as if you had chain of businesses or wealth before entering politics. Nobody hates him or herself. you can't have such monies and be renting someone's house in your own hometown or village, you can't have such monies and join public transport anytime you were traveling, you can't have such monies and be staying in a chamber and hall room in you fathers' compound house, you can't have such monies and went to parliament house looking for GHC 100.00 from some of your party MP's, you can't have such monies and allow poor party supporters to contribute 10 cedis each and present it as funeral donation on your behalf when you wanted to be MP, ( am not particularly reffering to C A. Dapaaaah) but some of those small boys and girls ministers/mmdce's galivanting about. We know you, dont forget, we know paaaaaaa, all of you, we know you.
