Over 20 thugs reportedly from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday, invaded the studios of UTV, looking for Kwame Obeng Asare, popularly known as A-Plus.
This comes on the back of A-Plus ripping apart a letter from the NPP.
It may be recalled that on the September 30 edition of the programme, A-Plus described as useless a letter from the NPP calling on the management of UTV to reform the show.
According to the NPP, the programme has become political.
A Plus, in reaction, said the letter was against the independence of the media and went on to rip his copy of the letter saying.
A-Plus must apologize
The thugs who disrupted the show for over 30 minutes were demanding an apology from A-Plus for tearing up the letter from the NPP.
A-Plus speaking to this, condemned the act and suggested that he ripped the letter because it wasn't an official communication from the party.
Wrong move
Senior Psychologist, Professor Joseph Osafo contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' said it was wrong for A-Plus to tear up the letter.
"If a letter is addressed to someone and a guest rips it apart; it's the highest form of disrespect. It's not a good thing . . . A Plus could've just read it and discarded it with his idea. You don't need to by action tear it," he told Kwami Sefa Kayi.

@Edem Kudzo. For your information, the freedom of speech right of a political party doesn't extend to them writing a letter to media house questioning why they do what they do or pontificating how their program should be conducted. That's absolute rubbish which can only happen in the ***barred word*** farm where block headed people get to lead. We will not encourage anyone to take advantage of the media to engage in disrespectful acts, however that letter was nothing better than a piece of trash and I would have binned it instead if we were in a country with proper sanitation practices. Unfortunately, our sanitation companies are paid huge sums of money for no important work done, and they in turn fail woefully to pay the meagre "salaries" of their workers, such a rubbish place we have found ourselves.
GBEHA!!!!!!! DISRESPECT ONY3333!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYONE CAN TEAR ANY LETTER. NA U PRINT FOR AM? WAS IT YOUR PAPER HE USED? GIVE US A BREAK MR. NPP PROF.
@Kwame,freedom of speech isn't for only media,a political party also have equal right to question, analyse and scrutinize what media says, this is not in any way interference in their activities...even if you don't agree to the content of the letter,it's gross disrespect, indiscipline and intolerance to destroy it in full glare of the whole world.Media shouldn't it it's demigold,it's untouchable,it's above criticism...!
***barred word*** NPP so called Professor. Did you read article 146 clause 2 of the 1992 Constitution. How many books have you written to become that Professor you call yourself. You better shut if you don’t have anything better to say. What A Plus did was very right. Enough of the NPP ***barred word***. They always think they are entitled. They are on their way to opposition. They claim to be democratic but don’t want to hear opposing views. Criminals in power
Well, all think it was ok to sit on such big platform and “insult, tear letters apart”, and expect people to clap for you. Sometimes, these personalities who sit on programs think they know it all than the rest of people. It is only Grace that grants them such opportunities than the rest of us. Hence, they should shown some sense of circumspect in their actions or inactions when they participate on such platforms. I may be wrong!
