A former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, claims President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ‘is in bed’ with illegal miners but pretending to fight their activities.
“It is not difficult to identify them . . .even Nana Akufo-Addo [President] knows the kingpins,” he boldly said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, Ghana Montie, adding, yet we all appear to be ostriches.
Mr Fuseini seems not happy with the mass destruction of major water bodies across the country and lamented that the next generation will “suffer” if the government continue to look unbothered.
“It is about time we collectively fight against this for the next generation,” he noted.
He further said the approach the country adopted in the fight against illegal mining shows that the country was not determined to end the illegal mining menace.

Brilliant write-up Dan. Spot-on!!
The fight against the galamsey menace is not even for the next generations but for ourselves. Looking at the kind of babies in recent times born in galamsey areas where water bodies have been polluted, Ghana may not even have a next generation. Bet me ,if any mallam, soothsayer and pastors they have been consulting were to say that if our water bodies are not pacified, NPP will lose elections 2024, galamsey will cease in 48 hours. In another vain if same mallams, soothsayers and pastors were to tell NDC that they can only win election 2024 if Ghana's water bodies are clean, they will hire buses to carry their supporters to go into the forest and chase out the galamseyers. Fact is that in Ghana, so called politicians represents nobody but themselves. Ghana to them is like cocoa, they want the beans inside, not the pod, forgetting that if the pod had not covered the beans, they would have gone bad . Ghana, a country so blessed with all it needs for it's citizens to live meaningful and comfortable lives, unfortunately no leader with a vision to carry the people along.
