The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its Northern Regional Vice-Chairman, Alhaji Hamid Gbewaa, following a heated altercation with Hajia Shamima Yakubu at the party’s regional secretariat.
The incident, sparked by disagreements over party finances, resulted in injuries to the Northern Regional Treasurer and heightened tensions within the NDC, deepening the bloody factionalism between Haruna Iddrisu, the deposed Minority Leader and John Dramani Mahama, 2024 NDC presidential aspirant.
Deputy General Secretary, Mustapha Gbande, announced that Alhaji Gbewaa believed to be Haruna Iddrisu boy has been suspended for three months, pending further investigations and processes to address the issue effectively.
