"I am like a driver’s mate," says Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) outlining his vision for Ghana in an address at the UPSA auditorium in Accra said even though he is currently the driver's mate, "if, by the Grace of God, you make me President, I will be in the driver's seat with constitutionally mandated authority to pursue my vision and my priorities".
"My vision is to create a tent big enough to accommodate all our people, to tap into the resourcefulness and talents of our people irrespective of our different ethnic, political and religious backgrounds, to channel our energies into building the kind of country that assures a food self-sufficient, safe, prosperous, and dignified future for all Ghanaians, to create sustainable jobs with meaningful pay for all, and for Ghana to participate fully in the fourth industrial revolution using systems and data," he added.

The most ffoolish man i have ever knew is Bawumia. You and defending the govt. Now you have turned yourself to say you will scrap away all those taxes. You are a comedian and a ccriminal. We won’t allow you to rule us. We are not zombies like those in your party. We will punish you this 2024. Kkwasia man.
Mr TALK A THON, Mr LIAR A THON, so you know E-lavy was not good but you part of cabinet that agree it, now you want to exclude yourself, masa no more one man one wife this time, we are wise now
NDC are bleeding this morning. Ghanaians heard this brilliant young man Bawumia and clearly. He us far more intelligent and visionary. His achievements as he listed are very impressive. Most importantly, he works hard is never corrupt. Bleeding is aloud. Dr.Bawumia wl beat Mahama easy.
Very pathetic
Big brother, from every indication you have the ideas and mean well for Ghana . Unfortunately for you the way you were thinking pre 2017 was not same way your " driver" and "his people" we're thinking. They had a different mind of their own which was hidden from you and many more others. Your main challenge has to do the many promises you made from 2008-2016 knowing very well you are a "driver's mate and thinking that the " driver" was with you. Now it has become obvious that a " driver mate" and his master, i.e. the driver can sit in the same vehicle with different minds. I am not saying this but your speech today of what you intend to do if given the nod by Ghanaians to be their president speaks for itself. Just like a " driver mate collects the lofty fare from passengers it's the driver who determines how the money will be spend. So for a drivers mate to go and tell a tyre dealer that their vehicle tyres are worn out and that they will coming to buy news tyres not knowing his master i.e. the driver is rather thinking of even selling the vehicle. This is the challenge my big brother Bawumia is facing because the vehicle tyres dealer will now see as liar not knowing what's really happening at the end of the his master the driver. All the same the onus lies on Ghanaians to decide. It won't be easy at all. Your master has succeeded in making John Mahama very popular. For the Ya-naa i.e. the overlord of Dagbon who is not educated to be telling John Mahama to regularly reshuffle his appointees should he win the 2024 elections is enough pointer to the fact that people are not happy with the way your master i.e. the driver is handling the vehicle entrusted to him. Am just wondering what it will look like for your master to hand over to John Mahama on 7 January, 2025. If it so happens Ghanaians would be saying that John Mahama with all his ills is still far better than your master i.e. Driver, forget that his picture will not appear on the ballot , if you are following a mason who is plastering a the walls of a house, a mixture of cement, sand and water will definitely touch your cloths. This is the dilemma in which Bawumia finds himself now. Let's see what happens as the 2024 elections campaign heats up.
You see Akufo Addo's posture now, "I don't care" kind of things. Even when Bawumia and his team are saying to his face that he's responsible for the mess of the country and Bawumia is even the reason why a few good things were done, he cares less. That tells boldly that he never had the nation at heart, he never cared about his own legacy for the country. All that mattered to him was to become a president. He adapted a strategy of saying sweet words into the ears of the Ghanaian to get what he wanted. That's the same posture of Bawumia, nothing but a confidence trickster. You are telling us that you are aware that your taxes that you're currently imposing on us are insane and you are governing so horrendously but we "fooIish" Ghanaians should give you the mandate again to change them and after you get your second term, you become like Akufo Addo now. Yoo Yate, y3daase
Very sickening. As Head Of ECONOMIC MISMANAGEMENT Team. Your silence was loud and care little when E levy was imposed. You have the courage to tell me to vote for you before u can remove the E Elevy. I am more smarter than u. I will be be voting for visionary people who identified the ills of E levy at its infancy. THEY ARE MORE VISIONARY THAN U.
***barred word*** talk so didn't you know you have no constitutional mandate to back you when you were making all the ***barred word*** promises? Are you not the head of the economy team sometimes you guys think we are all ***barred word*** and ***barred word***.
