The Ranking Member of Parliament's Finance Committee, Isaac Adongo has outlined the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s commitment to implementing an advanced digitalization system for Ghana if elected, surpassing current efforts led by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
During a public lecture organized by the Coalition for Restoration (CFR) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on February 28, 2024, Mr. Adongo stressed the need for a digitalization strategy that minimizes human intervention in public service delivery, reduces corruption, and combats crime.
Mr. Adongo criticized the government's digitalization agenda as limited to "stand-alone improvement tools," arguing that it has not significantly addressed corruption or improved efficiency.
“You said John Mahama was using manual rudimentary systems and you have come to digitalised. If you have come to digitalised, shouldn’t you be better than John Mahama in corruption perception? Your best, 43 is John Mahama’s worst – 43,” he stated.
Describing digitalization as the integration of digital technologies across society and the economy, Mr. Adongo highlighted its potential to enhance security systems, stimulate economic growth, and foster innovation.
He contrasted the NDC's proposed digitalization system with current practices, envisioning a model akin to European standards, where police could access comprehensive public records during routine stops.
The lecture aimed to analyze Ghana's economic performance under the current administration and outline the NDC's proposed solutions, should they win the 2024 General Election.
Mr. Adongo credited past NDC administrations for transformative communication and infrastructure projects, pledging to implement economic interventions to bolster resilience, create jobs, and prioritize local participation across key sectors.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of responsible borrowing practices to prevent adverse impacts on citizens holding government bonds.

Some people have been in politics for a long time but they are not smart enough politically. How do you have to go about digital when you know it’s after thought and you will be doing catch up to Bawumia. “Ya wie bibiara “ every thing is home and dried attitude of the Ndc is self defeating. I will be worried if I am a Ndc member because of the leadership of Bawumia. When the traditional Npp voters decide to come out and vote which I believe they will do because of Mahama’s come , it is apparently clear that Bawumia will do better than Kufuor and Akuffu Addo in the traditional Ndc strongholds. Interesting times ahead. It is possible and the battle is still the Lords
This adongo man makes politics feel like comic sketches. He has never cease to be funny.
When John Mahama and NDC had the opportunity to introduce mobile money interoperability to Ghana, they managed to put up a system from rLG/Sibton Switch which would have killed the economy with a cost of US$1.4 BILLION. Now that NPP has done it and produced better results with only US$4 MILLION, NDC is looking for another opportunity to come and kill the country with MEGA corrupt schemes. Ghanaians must be made aware that NDC and Jon Mahama must be a NO NO NO and should never be given the opportunity to destroy the country.
In 2016 when NDC and John Mahama had the opportunity to introduce the mobile money interoperability they brought SIBTON Switch agreement with was going to cost the country USD1.4 Billion. When they were pushed out of power and NPP took over, they used a department of BOG to do a better system that cost us on USD4 Million. The system is running very well and Roland Agambiri who was fronting for JM in that venture run and relocated in Dubai where he lookes after JM's business empire. When Dr. Bawumia introduced ZIPLINE medical delivery project, NDC confused Ghanaians that the government was going use drones to take photographs of naked women in bathrooms. Zipline has proved to be a very critical component in the delivery of critical, medical supplies in parts of the country. Now DVLA, Passport office, Births and Deaths Registry, ECG, GWCL, and several agencies and authorities have been digitised. NDC will only come and destroy all the gains if they're given the opportunity to administer the country from 2025. They're just a bunch of ***barred word*** and corrupt destroyers.
So Adongo is no more an economist but an IT/Digitalization expert. Dr. Domfeh has put him in his proper position and now he knows he can't boast as an economist. Adongo makes so much noic3 that he do3snt make sense in most of presentations about the economy. If he's given the duty of running the economy it'll come crushing down in in one month because he hasn't got a clue on how to run an economy. He's only good at making noises that don't make economic sense.
NDC HAS NOTHING TO OFFEE AAAAH APUU
Hahahaaaa, what goes around comes around. You have also run away from economics to digitizations having been told by an economics lecturer in one of Ghana's universities that you lack knowledge in economics because you are an accountant and not an economist.
This Adongo guy has moved from being an Economist to digitisation.... What will NDC do differently? Tell us and stop this blanket joke. Level 200 Economist. NDC jokers.
So you are now talking about digitalziation... what happened to the economy? You were on the roof top shouting Bawumia is running from the economy. Hmmm
I can now understand that the NDC is lost in thinking our a fine policy. They are now talking about digitization, where is the 24-hour Gyata Cement Policy? Mahama just want to take Gyata Cemnet from ECG payment list.
