Jojo Abot is undoubtedly one of Africa�s finest on the microphone with her fusion of Afrobeats, Jazz and electronic blend of music, which is fast catching up with us across the world.
She is a combination of so many things: she is a fashion designer, actress and a musician.
Jojo Abot who recently performed at the African Arts and Fashion Banquet which was powered by African Fashion Week London at The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London, is set to release her latest single titled: �Aim Straight�, produced by award winning DJ I Am Kofi.
In a brief interview with this reporter, Jojo revealed that �Aim Straight� is set to be released on the 2nd of November, 2013, on all airwaves across Ghana. And her fans will also have the opportunity to hear it first on her Soundcloud network.
The AMAA award-winning film which was premiered at Berlinale Film Festival in February ��Kweku Ananse�s� lead role character has over the years churned a unique technique in whatever she does and thus, that translates in the delivery of her lyrics which comes in live bands.
Jojo Abot is obviously one of the Africa promising artistes, who has performed in major solo shows including appearances at the Alliance Francaise, Goethe-Institut, National Theatre and the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. She has also performed in many live shows at Accra's best jazz spots like +233 Jazz, Bat & Grill, Taverna Tropicana and a number of live venues in New York City.
She has also featured prominently in Accra's independent music festivals such as �IndieFuse� and �ChaleWote.� With her new single, she is undoubtedly poised to become a well sought after soul songstress.
Speaking on those she looks up to in the music industry, she said: I get inspired by the legends such as Fela Kuti; the versatility of Ebo Taylor, Asa, Sia and Jazz great-Billie.
