Ghanaian gospel singer Herty Borngreat has assured her fans she is still in the gospel music fraternity with absolutely no plans of quitting.

The assurance became necessary after growing concerns as to why Herty has not released a track for a while now and whether her annual ‘Be My Guest’ executive concert will come off this year.

For three years running, she has distinguished herself as consistent in releasing tracks frequently and eventually compiling them into an album.

But the award winning gospel singer told NEWS-ONE she took a deliberate decision to slow down on her career towards the middle of last year to enable her focus on her academic pursuits.

“I have not quit and I won’t quit gospel music. It is my calling and passion and I see it as ministration rather than just commercial business. I can’t stop Christian ministration and it is tied to my gospel music career; so how can I quit?” Herty told NEWS-ONE.

The musician said despite the challenging task of mothering her six young children and pursuing higher education at the same time, she manages to find time for the gospel music business.

“Maybe you do not see me at gigs and shows as you used to but it does not mean I have stopped ministering. When you stand before a church congregation or Christian gathering to sing for them, it is also part of ministration.

“But as I said, 2015 is a new year for greater things and I would soon be everywhere doing the things you have known me to be doing,” she explained.

On the question of whether the ‘Be My Guest’ music concert would come off this year or not, Herty said it is a good concert which should come off, all things been equal.

She added: “My management and the Borngreat Music Productions came up with the ‘Be My Guest’ concept to further strengthen the bond of friendship and family between me and my different sets of publics.

Sometimes there is the need to reach out, host people, interact with them, listen to them, minister to them and forge some healthy bond that keeps you together; and that is what we have sought to achieve with the concert.”
