The Accra International Conference Centre will come alive on Saturday, May 30, as renowned singer, Akosua Adjepong, celebrates her 25th Anniversary in music with the support of some of the greatest musicians in Ghana.

Artistes billed to support the Frema singer include Sarkodie, Nana Ampadu, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, A.B. Crentsil, Rev. Joe Beechem, MzVee, Edem, Becca, Amandzeba, Rex Omar, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Nana Ama McBrown among others.

According to Akosua Adjepong, she decided to put the concert together because of the success she has chalked on the music scene.

“25 years in the music business is enough for any artiste to stage a concert to celebrate. I have achieved a lot as a musician and I want to share it with my fans on Saturday. I therefore entreat Ghanaians to come to the show in their numbers,” she added.

“To put up an outstanding performance, I have been practicing with the Immigration Band to give a brilliant performance. I wouldn’t want to give much detail on the show but I entreat everyone to come to the event,” she said.

At the launch of the concert a few weeks ago, her mentor, Highlife legend, Nana Ampadu, commended Akosua Adjepong on her 25th milestone saying he is prepared to support her whenever she calls on him.
“Akosua is like a daughter to me. She takes pieces of advice from me and discusses whatever plans she wants to take with me. I will be performing a new song on stage with her come May 30 at her anniversary concert and it is going to be a blast,” Nana Ampadu said.

As part of activities marking Akosua’s 25th anniversary, a health walk and screening was held on May 2, 2015. Patrons walked from the Trade Fair Centre to the 37 Military Hospital and back where there was free screening for breast cancer, hypertension, diabetes and other ailments.

The Akosua [email protected] concert is sponsored by Joy Dadi, Special Ice, Onga, National Health Insurance Scheme, Tobinco, Union Oil, Breast Care International and Allied Oil.
