Ghanaian Singer Jane Awindor, known in showbiz as Efya has been announced for the April 26th edition of Afrobeat Nights with DJ Tunes.
Backed by a live band, the Jorley singer, who also represented Ghana and last year’s edition of Coke Africa Studio alongside Feli Nuna, Stonebwoy, and EL, will perform songs from her mixtape TINT, as well as her debut album Janesis.
Daughter of veteran broadcaster Nana Adjoa Awindor, Efya is a 2008 finalist of the Stars of the Future singing competition.
She’s recipient of several awards, and recently signed with Nigerian pop singer Wizkid’s Starboy Worldwide label, and is easily among the continent’s most sought after female vocalists.
Afrobeat Nights with DJ Tunes comes off at SOB’S – 204 Varick Street, New York City.
