Renowned Gospel Singer Alex Acheampong of 'Emmanuel' fame on Sunday, 5th May 2019 stormed Reading-Berkshire, United Kingdom (UK) With 'Emmanuel Praise'.
The event which was a night to remember and a night full of music and praise was led by Alex Acheampong and supported by Charles Baafi from the United States of America (USA).
Alex Acheampong dressed in a beautiful multi-coloured tuxedo with 4 buttons U-shaped waistcoat and trouser started with a slow rhythmic song ‘Amen’ and ended with his popular lyrically powerful, inspirational 22-year-old timeless, and non-denominational anthem ‘Emmanuel’.
Alex' performed alongside 'Adehyee' band who exhibited a lot of skills and delivered perfectly.
The Special Guest artistes were Diana Hamilton, OJ, South Youth Choir and Ekaa D3.
Diana Hamilton who has four nominations in the upcoming 20th edition of the VGMA took to the stage to perform most of her songs including ‘ Mo Ne Yo’; a potential song of the Year.
O J on his part thrilled the audience with songs like ‘Obi Nya Way3’ and ‘Onipa Hia Mmoa’.
The audience who were extremely thrilled danced and worshipped throughout the show which started at 8 pm, Sunday
A Vote For Diana Hamilton
Alex as his closing remarks urged all his SDA members and fans to throw their weight behind Diana by voting massively for her in all the categories: Gospel Song of the year, Gospel Artiste of the year, Female Vocalist of the year
and Album of the year.
Supporting Preterm babies
Apart from worshipping God and leading the audience to enjoy themselves, the event was also to raise funds to support preterm babies in Asamang SDA Hospital, Ghana.
Alex who is the head of Alex Acheampong Foundation urged all to support this noble cause.
Meanwhile, Alex's fans in Ghana are already asking when the ‘Emmanuel Praise’ train will get to Ghana.
