Peace FM’s Entertainment Review host, Akwasi Aboagye has called on Charterhouse Ghana, organizers of the VGMA 2019 to state their reasons of making known the winners of the two remaining awards.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, he argued that the rules of Charterhouse do not permit them to make public the winner of an award before it is announced and received on the stage by the winner.
“ . . Charterhouse Ghana should come out with an official statement to tell us the reason why they revealed the winners of the two remaining awards when they did not receive it,” he said.
He further explained that Ghanaians need a concrete report from Charterhouse for a justification of the act.
“Frankly, we still need a concrete report from Charterhouse even though a lot has been said surrounding the move, so that we can confidently address the issue as such,” Akwasi Aboagye emphasized.
Master of Ceremony (MC) of the awards show, Kwami Sefa Kayi mentioned after the fracas between the camp of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy that there were two more awards to be given out, but each goes to the aforementioned artistes, as such a press conference would be held to let Ghanaians know the way forward.
