Last year was a quiet one for Gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy but she is starting off 2021 on a strong note with the release of her first single of the year titled Ote Me Mu featuring MOG Music.
The song, released on Monday, January 4, and translates as “He lives in me,” in the Akan language is a reminder of who God is and the mandate He has given to Christians to have dominion over and take what belongs to them.
It also reminds Christians of the promises of God and how He orders the steps of individuals into goodness and mercy while protecting them from their enemies.
Changing lives
According to Ohemaa Mercy, Ote Me Mu is meant to transform lives and boost the confidence of the hopeless. “The song is full of the Holy Spirit and is meant to encourage anyone who has given up on life
“I know how tough things have been but this piece is certain to change lives and be a blessing to many people. The coronavirus was really scary and this song is my way of letting people overcome their fear because if we have Jesus, we have everything,” she stated.
The video of the song was also premiered on Ohemaa Mercy’s Facebook page on Monday after a post entreating people to give their lives to God.
“Jesus Christ has you in mind, give Him the chance and the space to live in you, just to show forth His glory in your life, I say Christ in me is the hope of His glory,” she posted.
