She may not have taken home a trophy, but Beyoncé's performance of Be Alive, from the film King Richard, was one of the highlights of Sunday's Oscar ceremony.
The pre-taped segment was recorded at the same tennis courts in Compton, California, where Richard Williams taught his daughters Venus and Serena the game of tennis when they were children.
The star was joined by her own daughter, Blue Ivy, while her band and backup dancers all wore neon yellow outfits the colour of tennis balls.
