Afrobeats superstar Davido has set the record straight on his upbringing, emphasizing that he comes from a respectful family despite his occasional public controversies.
During a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri in Delta State on Saturday, Davido addressed the misconception that his celebrity antics reflect poorly on his family's values.
“I was brought up by great parents. I come from a very respectful family but sometimes, as OBO [star], I may act out of place,” he said.
It’s recalled that Wizkid recently shaded Davido’s family, claiming that the ‘OBO’ crooner wasn’t raised well.
“When u see people wey dem papa and family train, u go know! U don’t see my uncle dancing online!” Wizkid wrote on his X handle, alluding to Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is known as the ‘Dancing Governor’ because of his numerous dance videos online.
