Gospel singer, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has dropped her opinion about the highly debated E-levy that forced NPP and NDC MPs to exchange blows before parliament went for a break this year.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, the Evangelist maintained that E-Levy will shape the economy of Ghana.
According to Diana, Ghanaians who oppose the E-levy have never visited any European country reason they don’t understand the whole concept.
She went on to add that taxes play a vital part in the prosperity of a country hence we should all support the government’s decision to implement the E-Levy.
In her won words; “If you go to Italy, the toll is automated. You will not see anyone there collecting tolls but you are compelled to pay. You pay 10 Euro on your going and the same on your return. Everything is taxed” “In Ghana, it is because some people have not traveled before that is why they speak like that [against paying taxes]. If we were to explain the objective and the need to pay the E-Levy, it would bring massive developments. Ghana would have been so beautiful.“

One of the most ***barred word*** sperm produce by her father is Diana asamoah in fact hes totally condemned and need a man to fire her to become sensible person..
@Joe e-levy will not apply to atm withdrawals and payments
This woman paaa, can we apply basic sense here? Cocoa, Gold, timber, bauxite, Oil, coffee, shea butter, yam, ........name them. All these couldn't help Ghana economy. What can e-levy do?
That is the talk ignorance and foolishness
For those justifying the e-levy by comparing it to taxes in developed countries, please educate yourself. Since COVID-19 epidemic started, most of the advanced countries are rather reducing taxes to help its citizens. We are doing the opposite. People forget that we are paying COVID levy. The idea that this e-levy is going to be the economic messiah is very insulting to our intelligence.
*Kofi* what did said, "income tax" this is not about income tax, do you mean ghanaians don't pay income tax? those who are fortunate to have a "formal" job yet when they buy goods and services they pay tax on it. imagine after paying your 34% tax you get the net in your a/c you take your card to atm to withdraw money and you are charge a new tax on that withdrawal. a friend in need ask for help you make transfer to his/her a/c and you are charged again. at least one can see or feel the usage of the 34% tax. in ghana it goes in president and ministers travels and per diem.
You people talk as if the E-Levy is the first and only tax being introduced in Ghana. Do you know the number taxes that Ghanaians are already paying before this monstrous one too is being added.......how lowly in IQ, that E-Levy will transform Ghana to Europe. Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!
She is right. Come to Norway and experience taxation. You are taxed 34 percent on income tax and then everything that you buy be it service or food. High taxes on sugar alcohol products the Norwegians call it the devils tax and get everyone pays be it Norwegian or immigrants. The plus side is that basic amenities and health care is readily available and of high quality. Norwegians are assured that the taxes work for them so they pay. If we can this same assurance from people in government in Ghana then I think the e levy is not bad. After all even Jesus paid tax for himself and Peter.
pls stay out of this wai.
