The fourth edition of Miss eXcel Plus (MXP 4) reality show was launched on Tuesday June 25 at the Maxlot Hotel, Ring Road, Accra. The show is to project and uphold the dignity of the true plumb African woman in this contemporary era.
According to XL Production, organizers of the show, plumb women are left out in the society so this reality show is to groom them to be bold, articulate and teach them the right diet to eat to shed excess fat and avoid diseases related to obesity.
The audition for this year’s season is categorized into four zones due to its nationalistic nature. Zone 1 which has Volta, Eastern and Greater Accra Region audition comes off on July 27 at GBC Studio B in Accra.
This will be followed by the Zone 2 audition which comprises of Upper East and West and Northern Region on 3rd August at the Savanna Radio, Tamale. Garden City Radio in Kumasi will host the next audition on 10th August. At the Twin City Studio in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Central Region, the final zonal audition will be held on August 17.
The lucky selected ladies from the four zones will converge on 24th August at Maxlot Hotel, Ring Road in Accra for the final screening for 16 ladies to be selected for the Miss eXcel Plus reality show. The 16 ladies will then be housed for 13 weeks starting from September 7 to December 7.
Ladies between the ages of 18 and 35 with the size of 16 and above who are bold articulate and have pleasant personality who are ready to be housed for 13 weeks can apply. The show will be aired on GTV and give the public the chance of keeping their favorite contestants in the show by voting via text messages. This year’s show is under the theme “Beauty And Fashion With A Sustainable Healthy For The Plus”.
Winner of the event goes away with a plot of land, car, 42 inch L.C.D television, a year employment with XL productions, gym services, a year’s wardrobe and exciting souvenirs. The 1st runner-up will also be awarded living room furniture, grooming and gym services for 6 months and exciting souvenirs. The 2nd runner-up also goes home with living room furniture, grooming and gym services for 3 months and exciting souvenirs.
