A week after the finals of Miss Ghana 2019 was held, the beauty pageant is trending on Twitter following photographs of the winner and runners up shared on social media.
Rebecca Nana Adwoa Kwabi, winner of the contest alongside Sarah Odei Amoani and Deborah Opoku Sarfo, 1st and 2nd runners up respectively had their pictures shared on Citi TV’s twitter page as they readied for a live studio interview.
According to some twitter users, they aren’t beautiful enough to win a pageant like Miss Ghana and subsequently get a chance to represent Ghana at an international event.
One person said even Patapaa is prettier than the girls and added that even Ms Agbogbloshie would not accept them as winners.
26-year-old Rebecca beat 18 other contestants to win the crown at an event held at Kempiski Hotel, Accra.
The student of Maureen Signature Institute took home an official vehicle, one-year volunteering with exclusive events Ghana/ Miss Ghana Foundation, a year platinum gym membership, the opportunity to represent Ghana at Miss World, a monthly allowance of GH¢1000 and the most enviable crown.
Sarah and Deborah on the other hand took home an official vehicle each, monthly allowance and one-year volunteering with Exclusive Events Ghana/ Miss Ghana Foundation.

This whole things is very funny ... i crack up saa
These girls are very beautiful & intelligent. They have maintained their colour (NO BLEACHING). True Ghanaians that have a VERY HIGH SELF ESTEEM. Girls you are great. Ignore the WEAK MINDS.
Peacefm online should know better, it is not everything you see on social media, that you should post. Shameful story. Would you have posted that ***barred word*** story Evangelist Addai has been saying about Dr. Osei Kwame? #JournalistShouldBeResponsible.
Looking at the names that are coming up, I wonder if this once famous contest is also not being destroyed by our divisive partisan politics.
They should all have natural hair that should be the first requirement
The last meme cracked me up
