About 100 amateur golfers would parade at the Tema Country Golf Course to compete for the Lipton Bi-Monthly Open Golf Championship trophy on Saturday, February 20.
Mr Ebenezer Adablanu, General Manger of the Tema Country Golf Club told GNA Sports at Tema on Monday that the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition would be sponsored by Unilever Ghana Limited.
He said the bi-monthly competition, which started in August last year, continues to be keener competitive and that this month's event was not going to be exceptional.
Mr Adablanu said the competition which was open to golfers throughout the country would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Club.
Paul Owusu-Baah, Kofi Sampong, Alex Fiagomey, William Asiedu Yeboah and Ebenezer Tetteh Mensah, all of the Tema Golf Club are expected to battle each other for the prestigious trophy.
The Ladies segment would also witness stiff opposition from 'Lady Scientific' Florence Etwi-Barimah, Grace 'Tico-Tico' Afriyie, Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong, Esther Antwi and Esi Cobbinah.
Five prizes would be given out in the Men's encounter while three would be presented in the Ladies Division.
Officials of Unilever Ghana Limited are expected to grace the occasion.
