The Managing Director of HFC Bank, Mr Asare

Akuffo, has assured his outfits unflinching support to the

development and promotion of golf across the country.

Mr Akuffo said this at the HFC Banks Invitational Golf

Tournament held on Friday at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course, at the Burma

Camp oval in Accra.

Mr Akuffo said golf serves as a form of exercise and well-being

of the participants for those people who usually have busy schedules

and cannot engage in sporting events.

He said the objective of the tournament was to provide a platform

for the customers of the Bank to stay healthy, interact and exchange

ideas.

In the Mens category A division, William Hackman emerged winner

with a net score of 57 with Group Captain Gyima Kwakye and Larry

Gbevlo-Lartey following in that order with 63 points and 65 points

respectively.

The Managing Director rated the event a success and promised that

they would continue to support the promotion of the sport in the

country.

Nick Amarteifio was crowned winner in the Mens Category B after

a net score of 63 points followed by Omane Bimpong at the second

position after returning a score of 67 points and Frank Ntim, on the

third position on 69 points.

In the Womens division, Aku Yaba came tops with a net score of

65 points with Aku Dovlo placing second with 74 points and Eunice

Adzakpo coming third on 78 points.

The winners were presented with plagues for their efforts.

Larry Gbevlo-Lartey, Captain of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course

commended the financial institution for the sponsorship of the

tournament whilst urging them to take advantage of branding

opportunities available at the Course.

The one-day event drew participation from over 40 golfers.
