Midfielder Andre Ayew has returned to training for Olympique Marseille ahead of their French Ligue 1 opener against Sochaux on Saturday. The 21-year-old joined Wednesday afternoon’s session after picking up a back injury early this week.
Andre has become an influential player in Didier Deschamps’ side and underlined his status by scoring a hat-trick last week in their dramatic 5-4 win over champions Lille to lift the Super Cup.
He is expected to regain full fitness ahead of Saturday clash. Andre was named Marseille’s Player of Year for the 2010/2011 campaign.
