France:
Ghana winger Andre Ayew scored a 43rd minute consolation goal for Olympique Marseille which shared the spoils with Auxerre in a 2-2 draw.
Jordan Ayew replaced Loic Remy after 75 minutes.
Ball-battling midfielder Rabiu Mohammed was influential in midfield for Evian Gaillard Thonon when they sealed a 1-0 win over Nice.
Rabiu was replaced after 62 minutes while Jonathan Mensah warmed the bench.
Portugal:
Neither Christian Atsu nor David Addy were in the FC Porto team that defeated Guimaraes 1-0 in the Portuguese League.
Scotland:
Striker Junior Agogo debuted for Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday as they suffered a 4-1 humiliation at Kilmarnock.
Agogo was brought on after 46 minutes but failed to find the back of the net.
Sweden:
Midfielder Ruben Ayarna helped GAIS to a slim 1-0 victory over Kalmar.
Switzerland:
Winger Ishmael Yartey was in full flight action for ten-man Servette which battled to a scorelless stalemate at Xamax.
Holland:
Left-back Nana Akwasi Asare featured for FC Utrecht which drew two-all with Graafschap at home.
Belgium:
Abdul Iddi Yakeen played the entire regulation time for KV Mechelen which narrowly edged Rahim Ayew’s Lierse 2-1.
Ayew lasted the full 90 minutes and was yellow-carded at the death of the match.
Others:
Kevin-Prince Boateng scored an 89th minute equaliser for AC Milan in a Cup friendly victory over Swede side Malmo FF.
Milan won the tie 3-2 on penalties after drawing 2-2 in regulation time.
Youngster Richmond Boakye-Yaidom scored the winner for Serie B side Sassuolo in thier 2-1 win over Juve Stadia in the Coppa Italia.
