Asamoah Gyan Visits Glo Mobile Ghana Limited

Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan has paid a courtesy call on the management of Glo Mobile Ghana Limited-a subsidiary of Globacom limited as part of his role as the Ambassador of the telecommunications company.

The visit by the player was to show appreciation to the company for their role in his career as well numerous contributions to the Asamoah Gyan Foundation.

Derek Obuobi, Human Resource Consultant of the company, who welcomed the player to the premises of the company, said Gyan has over the years served as a worthy ambassador for the company.

He said the striker has over the period promoted the image of the brand in the country and across the globe.

Obuobi congratulated Gyan for his exploits in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) and the company is proud to be associated with the player. “Our brand is about being the best in everything we do and you have also shown that you are one of the best in the world. We are proud to be associated with you”. He told the player.

Obuabi also pledged the commitment of the company to the Foundation established by the Ghanaian striker.He said the technical committee of the company will meet to fashion out the form of assistance they will give to the Foundation.Obuabi said the company will support the Foundation to implement the projects outlined for some communities in the country.

Gyan said he was counting on the company to realize the targets set out by the Foundation to give some form of relief to the underprivileged in the society.He said the decision to form the Foundation was to pay back to society having survived on their support.

Gyan who arrived in the country last week after sustaining a hamstring injury in a league is expected to recover ahead of the commencement of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. He is scheduled to join the Stars on Tuesday in South Africa.
