First Ten Customers Win GCB Promotion To Brazil World Cup

The first draw of the “GCB 30 TO BRAZIL” promotion has been held in Accra with the first batch of ten winners to Brazil selected.

The first winners are Samuel Lawerh Kabutey, Kofi Osei-Afoakwa, Stephen Baffoe, George Danso and Robert Odidja, Zoogah Yin-Anaab Muk, Ben Anaba Moscoh, Agyei Kwame, Amponsah Robert and Michael Opoku Afriyie of Ashaiman Branch, Tarkwa, Jasikan, Trade Fair, Bolgatanga, Nsawam, Nkawie, Winneba and Dormaa Ahenkro branches of the Bank.

For emerging as the winners of the promotion GCB will process and ensure that the winners of the draw get Visas, Tickets, Accommodation, Transportation to and from Brazil and the Games as well as food.
The draw was conducted by the National Lottery Authority (NLA) at the GCB Head Office in Accra and witnessed by customers and representatives of the media some of who picked the draws.

The Managing Director, Mr Simon Dornoo, the Chief Transformation Officer, Mr Samuel Sarpong, Chief Finance Officer, Mr John Awuah and the Head of Consumer Banking Division, Mrs Doris Wunu were present for the first draw.

There were also consolation prizes for other customers of the Bank who were picked in other rewards including LED TV sets, Replica Jerseys, branded footballs, among other things.

GCB on March 11, 2014, launched the “GCB 30 TO BRAZIL” promotion designed to sponsor 30 customers of the Bank to Brazil to watch the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

According to the Chief Operating Officer of the Bank, Mr Kojo Addae-Mensah, the GCB 30 To Brazil promotion is aimed at sending Ghanaians to Brazil to support the national team, increase the support base of the National Black Stars in Brazil, showcase the potential of Ghana, made in Ghana products and services and Ghana as a brand to the world and to demonstrate to the rest of Ghana and the world that Ghana is an emerging market with peace and opportunities for investment.

Mrs Wunu urged customers of the Bank to take advantage of the promotion by saving at least GH¢1,000.00

The second draw of the promotion will be held on May2 to select another 10 customers while the final draw will be held on June 2, 2014.
