Sports journalist, Veronica Commey has questioned the competence of the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, following Ghana's fiasco in the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Ghana topples behind Sudan and Angola with 2 points after the team was beaten to 2 goals to nil in favor of Sudan in an away match on Tuesday, October 15.
It is obvious the hopes of Ghanaians to qualify for the AFCON have been crashed, however, there remains a few people who still believe Ghana could pull through.
Veronica Commey, analyzing the Black Stars' poor performances during a panel discussion on "Kokrokoo" show on Peace FM, wondered why Kurt Okraku blames the team's failures on coaches and the team but fail to point a finger at himself.
She noted that if a leader "responsible for organizing the team and documenting things regarding where the team will be training and camping including friendly matches and all that" only see all other stakeholders as "the problem including the supporters like myself and you but you (Kurt) can't see anything wrong with you (Kurt), then there is a major problem; a bigger problem than that".
