They have now made an offer to Ayews club Olympique Marseille to sign him on a permanent deal. Marseille, who have declared Ayew as surplus to requirements, have been given until the end of this week to respond to the offer. Marseille are seeking an outright buyer for the player even though Hertha would want to monitor him for one year.
Ayew went on trials with german side Hertha berlin but he was not offered a deal. This is a real chance for him to get active before the start of the World Youth Championship in Egypt next month. Ayew, who was on loan to French club Lorient last season, has a contract with Marseille until 2011.
