Ghana�s Minister for Sport, Rashid Pelpuo, has ordered the country�s football authorities to conduct a probe into bribery allegations levelled against Black Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh.
This comes after two players who were left out from the Ghana�s U-20 World Cup final squad accused the coach of taking bribes before naming the team. Portugal-based Ishmael Yartey and Sadick Adams said they were left out of the squad in favour of players who have powerful connections to the coach.
Pelpuo has now asked the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to investigate the matter for action to be taken on it. �We therefore advise the GFA to conduct a thorough investigation to unravel the veracity or otherwise of the allegation.� Pelpuo said.
The ministry is very much interested in the outcome of this investigation.� Portugal-based winger Ishmael Yartey launched a schathing bribery allegation against Black Satellites coach. The Beira Mar player alleged that Sellas Tetteh took bribes before naming his final squad for next week's World Youth Championship in Egypt.
Now another jaw-dropping allegation has hit the coach with Adams claiming that the reasons for his exclusion from the final squad are FALSE. Adams, who claims he is still a player of Atletico Madrid, says the Fifa ban does not affect his association with the national team.
And the former Ashgold forward suspects he has been left out of the squad because of machinations from the authorities and the technical team led by Tetteh. The Satellites are currently in Tunisia to finalize preparations before their tournament opener against Uzbekistan in Group D on 26 September.
