Chairman of the Black Satellites Management Committee, Jordan Anarglah has assured Ghanaians that the national U-20 team will bring the World Cup to Ghana.

According to him, the team, which has left Doha, Qatar, and is now training in Tunis, is made up of the crme-de-la-crme of Ghanas youth internationals. He vouched for the head of the technical team, Sellas Tetteh, adding that all the hullabaloo about bribery allegations would not derail the teams preparations for the tournament.

Bobor (as Sellas is called) has proven his worth with the under 20 team and even with Black Stars. He is one of the best we have around at the moment, he said. The Satellites Chairman made these remarks in an interview with DAILY GUIDE SPORTS from far away Tunis where the Satellites final team has pitched camp before moving to Egypt for the World Cup which kicks off in a few days.

Ghana will open its account against Uzbekistan on September 26, before taking on England and Uruguay. As I speak to you now, the technical team and playing body is on the field.

After winning the African Youth Championship (AYC) in Rwanda earlier this year, Ghanaians have great expectations, with regard to the current Under 20 team; and we will not allow anybodys remarks to affect the team. All 22 million Ghanaians are counting on these lads to deliver; and deliver they would.

He refused to comment on the allegations made by two axed players, Ishmael Yartey and Sadick Adams, which seek to impugn the integrity of the selection process into the Satellites team, and instead called for prayers from Ghanaians in order to win the trophy.

Football, as you well know, is a game of uncertainties; that is why we need the prayers of all Ghanaians. And with their prayers, we will come home with the trophy at the end of the tournament, God-willing.

In a related development, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Rashid Pelpuo has ordered the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to conduct investigations into the allegations of bribery leveled against the technical staff of the national U-20 team, the Black Satellites.

Fielding questions from journalists when he took his turn at the meet-the-press series last Tuesday, the minister expressed concern about the magnitude of the allegations, urging the GFA to get to the bottom of the matter.

Readers would recall that Ishmael Yartey, a Spain-based Ghana international who was axed from the Satellites team, launched a scathing attack on the technical head of the national U-20, Sellas Tetteh, accusing the latter of taking bribes before naming his squad, and sharing bonuses with players.
