The Ghana Football Association is awaiting a decision from Fifa over the eligibility of defender Daniel Addo for the weekend's final qualifying match against Mali in the joint 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup.
Daniel Addo's possible Black Stars debut has had to be upheld for now following the defender's straight red card picked up during his appearance in the finals of last month's Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Egypt where Ghana beat Brazil 4-3 on penalties to emerge winners.
An earlier correspondence from Fifa to the FA confirmed Addo's suspension and stated that it was to carry over.
The correspondence did not state whether the suspension applies for another age competition or an immediate organised competition by Fifa, an issue the Ghana Football Association is seeking further clarification on.
However, Black Stars coach, Milovan Rajevac, pleased with Addo's progress wants him to remain and train with the team as the central defender would be available for selection in Wednesday's friendly against Angola in Luanda.
Addo is one seven Black Satellites players invited by Rajevac for the double header this month.
