Spanish side Getafe have turned down an offer of from English side Aston Villa for Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng.
The Premier League slapped in an offer of US$8m for the powerful midfielder which was rejected by the Primera Liga side.
Getafe are expecting a fresh offer from Aston Villa to enable them begin negotiation to agree on price.
The Spanish club have valued their influential Ghanaian player at US$13m after the midfielder excelled in his 18 months at the club.
Boateng, 28, said: �I want to play in the Premier League.�
The midfielder has become a key player in Ghana�s squad and his attracted attention of English sides following his excellent showing in the friendly against England.
Boateng was named Getafe�s best player last season by the club�s supporters.
