Ghana goalkeepers� trainer Edward Ansah claims Norway-based goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey is being monitored as an heir apparent for Richard Kingson.
Kingson, who turned 33 last week, has been pressurised by irate local fans to quit after series of errors in Ghana�s last two games.
But officials have defended his selection by claiming there is lack of quality goalkeepers around to replace the former Blackpool gloves man.
Trainer Ansah, in post for Ghana�s 1992 Africa Cup of Nations silver medal winning team, has revealed Kwarasey, who plays for Stromgadest, is among the options being considered.
�There are a lot of keepers we are looking at. There is Ernest Sowah, Daniel Agyei, Sammy Agyei, Fatau Dauda, Isaac Amoako and also there are some foreign ones we are also looking at, Razak in Spain and Adam Kwarasey in Norway. For Kwarasey, I have been very close to him. I call him frequently,� Ansah told Accra-based Happy FM.
Kwarasey declared his intentions to represent Ghana three years ago but authorities have been accused of failing to fast-track his international switch.
GHANAsoccernet.com enquiry proved that the Norwegian FA have provided all documents necessary for Ghana to complete the switch but the GFA had done virtually nothing to complete the process.
Kwarasey also admitted he is aware of the goalkeeping situation in the Black Stars.
